The Berkshires most interesting "chintz free"rustic mountain lodge. Architect-innkeeper David Rothstein has incorporated 32comfortable rooms, with private bath and A/C, in a craftily restored 200 year old timberpeg barn. Our informal ambiance provides a retreat for recreation and relaxation. Common rooms and guest accommodations are decorated in a cozy style with textured fabrics, quilts, rugs, eclectic artwork and stenciling. Enjoy a hearty breakfast buffet. Hike to the Race Brook Falls and on to the Appalachian trail. Swing in the hammocks by the brook and feel refreshed.

Our tranquil setting provides a unique environment for thoughtful gatherings, unplugged corporate retreats, family gatherings and an occasional wedding. We offer a complete package with a choice of meeting facilities, active learning progra,ms, delicious meals and out-door excursions.

Children welcome, some pets accepted, no smoking, no phones or TV in rooms (shush).
